Student Health Benefits
Below is a summary of the benefits offered with the Harvard University Student Health Program. Please refer to their website to learn more about these benefits.
Medical Coverage | The Harvard University Student Health Program (HUSHP) is comprised of 2 parts:
HGSU-UAW Health Reimbursement Fund |
Dental Coverage | Students have two optional dental plans. Enrollment or renewal is not automatic. Harvard Griffin GSAS provides a subsidy for dental insurance equaling 75 percent of the cost of the “Dental Blue” preventative plan offered by University Health Services. This subsidy will now be provided to all students regardless of whether they have signed up for the UHS-based plan, allowing students to pick a plan that works best for them.
The contract between Harvard University and the Harvard Graduate Student Union (HGSU-UAW) establishes a Dental Fund of $125,000 to help defray the cost of premiums and copays under the Harvard University student dental insurance plan, and dental expenses in general. |
Prescription Drug Plan | Prescription drug coverage is included in the Student Health Insurance Plan, and there is no dollar limit on this benefit. Prescriptions may be filled at the HUHS Pharmacy or any OptumRx-participating pharmacy throughout the United States. |

Vision Care | The Student Health Fee offers coverage for routine and non-routine vision care. You can access vision care services at HUHS. |
